TypeWriter At The Pigeonhole

We had a great time performing at The Pigeonhole on Saturday, 5 May 2012 with Pep Talk and Gabriel Lynch. We were all glad to see a packed crowd who were enthusiastic and supportive. Thanks to everyone who came down to the gig. Our dear friend Tim shot two videos of us – “Sunlight Takes Over” and “That Deepest Blue”. Thanks Tim!

Patrick Mixing Shelves Album

Shelves

TypeWriter is currently taking a break from gigging and we’re hoping to start writing new material soon. In the meantime, Patrick is mixing the debut album by Shelves (pic above), an awesome band comprising of Noel Yeo, Robin Chua, Melvin Ho and Brian Leery. Shelves, like TypeWriter, is made up of experienced musicians from the Singapore indie music scene who have previously played in bands such as Silverspy, Suchness, Livonia and Leeson. No release date has been announced for the Shelves album but from the tracks we’ve heard so far, it’s going to be an absolute gem! Look out for it in the near future!

TypeWriter Supports ACRES’ Dolphin Campaign

TypeWriter is supporting animal rights NGO, ACRES, in its call for Resorts World Sentosa to free the dolphins in captivity. We have recorded a cover of “Please Let The Dolphins Go” and made a video to spread awareness for this campaign. Other artists such as Cheating Sons, Jack & Rai, Kevin Mathews and MUON are also supporting this campaign. Some have also covered this song while a few have written originals.
